Wiese Furniture Design designed and built this gorgeous china hutch for a modestly sized dining area. Because of space constraints and use requirements, the client could not find a suitable hutch for the selected area. Using the client’s dining set as inspiration, we created this impressive solid cherry piece. Inlaid with maple and burl veneers, adorned with hand carved top molding and beveled glass, the beauty of the cabinet is set off by a granite counter top. To make serving a pleasure, a subtly placed electrical outlet provides power for warming trays or coffee makers while entertaining.

 

  
       
 

Hand planing provides a warm, rustic touch to this hutch. The distressed and antiqued solid pine is highlighted by the hand rubbed finish. Part of a dining suite created by us for a client’s country home, this hutch sits in a comfortable place of honor in the dining room.

 

  
   

The beauty of solid cherry plays a starring role in this stately china hutch designed and built for a client whose dining suite had long been out of production. Taking a cue from the style of the dining table, we created a piece that sits in a place of honor in the clients’ new home. This hutch provides lovely display area behind beveled glass doors as well as a large serving area with linen and silver storage areas below.

 

  
    Impressive is the word most often used to describe this large china in a beautiful home overlooking Puget Sound. Considering the window which features a panoramic view of Seattle, we designed this piece to capture the view while providing unique display areas for the client’s beautiful porcelain and crystal. The visually exciting lighted side display areas atop the buffet section carry one’s eye into the window and the view beyond. The buffet section is banded with inlaid brass at the top and the top is inset with granite for ease of entertaining. Audio componentry is in a lighted area at the recessed far left end with speaker sections at each end of the prominent center section. The recessed right end features slide out shelving for china storage. The doors in the prominent center section allow access to a generous amount of storage on adjustable shelving. Constructed of solid oak and alder and finished with a hand rubbed lacquer.
