This video center was designed to complement the existing bedroom suite in a client’s master bedroom. Designed and crafted in solid white oak, this piece affords space for a large screen television as well as storage for clothing and other personal items. Stained a warm, honey brown, the hand rubbed lacquer finish was lightly whitewashed to present the patina of age.

The simplicity of this style won the hearts of clients who requested a unit to house their new entertainment system in a style that would complement their existing furnishings. Handcrafted in solid cherry, this unit provides an elegant home for a large television, audio-video components and speakers. It also offers four drawers of storage for CDs, DVDs and VCR tapes.
A question that has perplexed many clients is how to incorporate a television into a bedroom without it being either an eyesore or unviewable. We answered the question this way for one happy client. Designed to appear as a bed-end chest of modest height, this beautiful solid cherry “blanket chest” features a remote controlled lift for the television. When down, the television rests inside the unit behind the faux drawers. On each side of the television unit is doored storage for linens and other items. Raising and lowering the television is as simple as pushing the remote on-off button for the television.
