Currently
under construction is this solid cherry entertainment center and display
area. Approximately thirteen and a half feet long, this unit consists
of a tambour doored television unit with a doored area below for audio-video
componentry. To the right is doored storage with counter area and bookcase
area above. To the left of the television area are three staggered display
areas, two of which have beveled glass doors and one with an open front.
All display areas are lighted.
This was designed to replace a wall to wall doored counter unit from the 1970s . The design that Wiese Furniture Design created dramatically changes the wall to an area with a lot of interest with lines moving in and out and up. No longer is there just a wall-lining counter unit but, rather, an interesting play of shapes that adds excitement to the room. Adding interest by shape alone does not suffice, however. Good design is a prime requirement. Here, we have taken our styling cues from the clients Stickley dining suite which is at the other end of the room. Incorporating some of the simplicity of style of the Stickley, we have created a style which complements but does not imitate. |
