specifically for each individual client. Although all designs are copyrighted by Wiese Furniture Design and owned by Wiese Furniture Design, if a client wishes a duplicate of a design already created for another client, the initial client will be contacted and permission requested that a duplicate of their design be allowed.
The design process begins with an initial face-to-face design consultation with the client. During this meeting the client’s specific requirements are determined and a general idea of style direction is acquired. This meeting also allows for the client and the designer to get a feel for each other. We feel that compatibility is very important and that it is vital that the client really feel that we are in tune with their needs. On those rare occasions where we feel that we are not the ones best suited to achieve what the client desires, we inform the client of such so that they can select a firm who can best fill their needs.
After the design consultation, if the client wishes, we work up a full color design as shown in the example below. This allows the client to more accurately picture the piece as it will actually appear when completed. We present this design to the client along with an accurate price. At this point, changes can be made and refinements incorporated. If the client likes the design and wishes to order, there is no charge for the design although Wiese Furniture Design requires a 40% order deposit at that time. If the client likes the design and wishes to keep it but not order, they may purchase the design for the specified cost and keep it. If the client does not like the design and does not wish to keep it, there is no charge for the design.
Because the design of any given piece is where the intrinsic value resides, we highly value the design. The average cost of a design ranges from $375.00 for a single piece to $1000.00 for a room. Designs do not include shop drawings or plans as we construct from design only.
